InfoRead - Digital Publishing & Magazine Reading Engine

InfoRead is a client-server digital reading / magazine-publishing platform where users read, publish, discover and rate articles. It comprises an Angular 9 author/reader web app, a Spring Boot 3 (Java 21) REST API, and a Flutter reader mobile app, backed by Google Cloud Firestore with AI-driven features (GPT grammar review, OpenAI-embedding personalized feed, spam classification) and Stripe monetization.

InfoRead is a client-server digital reading / magazine-publishing platform where users read, publish, discover and rate articles. It comprises an Angular 9 author/reader web app, a Spring Boot 3 (Java 21) REST API, and a Flutter reader mobile app, backed by Google Cloud Firestore with AI-driven features (GPT grammar review, OpenAI-embedding personalized feed, spam classification) and Stripe monetization.

Scope of delivery

Built a full-stack digital publishing platform: a Spring Boot REST backend (Firestore-based) exposing article/publishing, community, social-auth and Stripe subscription APIs, an Angular author/dashboard web app, and a Flutter reader mobile app - plus AI-driven features layered on top.

Delivering a production-grade SaaS Reading Platform system required coordinated engineering, integrations, and reliable release workflows.

03 Our Solution

Used a three-tier client-server architecture where the Angular and Flutter clients consume a Spring Boot REST API backed by Google Cloud Firestore/Storage/Firebase. Implemented a 'For You'/home-feed personalization engine (OpenAI embeddings to user preference vectors with cosine-similarity ranking), AI grammar review and spam detection via GPT models, Stripe subscriptions, and containerized the stack on Kubernetes.
